We're Gary and Rachel, the bookworms behind Bluebird Book Company. Our little bookstore was born from a place of wanting to make space for families. A place that we would want to bring our children to. A place where kids can be kids, parents can connect, and families can be encouraged. There has been about a decade of dreaming and planning to open such a place, but the time was never right. We homeschool our four boys and run a busy pediatric practice, and our priority has always been on giving our children the best of us. We knew that if God meant for it to happen it would. So, we had Story Times at Gary's office, provided resources for parents, and engaged with the community to provide activities for families. In 2024 the perfect location became available, and we knew we had to open the bookstore. Gary's practice has always emphasized the importance of early childhood literacy, so a bookstore was a natural fit. Rachel, being a craft enthusiast, wanted a space for kiddos to be able to create, and let parents not worry about the glitter on the floor.

 Books new and used to cover any topic and budget, adorable gifts, a craft studio and play spaces tucked throughout the store are all waiting to be discovered! 

In addition to the products we carry, we also host birthday parties. Come celebrate with us. We'll even do the cleanup!
