Storybook Village

Join us for the sweetest Story Times each week on Tuesday and Saturday at 10 am. Each Tuesday we enjoy a story together followed by a themed craft and snack. You can also enjoy the slower pace of our Saturday Story Time. We'll read the same story from Tuesday; however we do not have craft or snack on this day. You're welcome to relax, play, and enjoy our sweet and sunny space.

In addition to our bookstore and retail space, we now have The Playroom! We've combined our craft corner and play areas into one special room that you can enjoy for just $5 per hour. This includes access to our Free Range Crafting as well as our craft kits, and our super sweet play spaces. You can peruse the bookstore as well with a 10% discount with a purchase of a play pass! At this time we do not accept reservations,

walk-ins only.

The cutest place to celebrate your special little one! Our Storybook Village is the party room connected to the bookstore, and has room for 16 children. When you book a party in the Storybook Village, you'll have access to the bookstore and Playroom.

We love a good party! Let us help you take the work out of party prep, so that you can enjoy the moment with your family. Choose from several themes and let us do the rest! Your Celebration Specialist will guide you through the party, decorate your space including all paper products and utensils, and manage the cleanup. Coming up Saturday!! 🏇 What a fun morning we have planned for little Kentuckians! Scan the code to get your tickets!

One of my favorite memories from elementary school was the year we studied the Kentucky Derby. We made our own horse, silks, and hats and then raced them around our own racetrack. Afterward we celebrated the winner with a party. It was so amazing that I wanted to recreate that for kids of any age a Derby event made just for them! You can get tickets in our bio. They’re only $8 per child! Fun with a side of learning! It’s going to be a blast and I can’t wait to share it with you!

It’s a busy weekend with two grad celebrations and a spring retreat in Bowling Green. We will not be open Saturday morning, but I’d love to have afternoon hours. Check back tomorrow for hours if you’re interested in coming! Have a wonderful weekend!

Today we read one if my all time favorites! The Giant Jam Sandwich takes me back to childhood and fantastic stories, and I love every time I get to share it! Today was the sweetest! Thanks to everyone that came out! 🍓

BIG NEWS! Beginning Monday we will have an hours change. Mornings will be open for book browsing and play, and we will be able to start offering workshops in the afternoon! The weekends are still available for play and shopping, and you can also schedule a photo session or birthday party! You can screenshot the calendar to keep handy for reference!

I am so excited to announce our next event! Join us on May 3rd at 10 am for our very first Kentucky Derby Kids Event! It’s only $8 per ticket and that includes a completely themed party with story, derby snacks, derby themed crafts, and concludes with our very own Run for the Roses complete with ribbon awards! The very first Spring Tea at @bluebird_book_company today! I can’t call what I do work, it’s just so much fun! I love the mamas and littles that I meet and making a place for them to have a moment to just be together, and make messes and have fun. And we had so much fun today! Trying to avoid the rain (at least some of it!) we’ve rescheduled Peter Rabbit Story Time to TONIGHT AT 6! Hop on down to the sweetest spot in Wilmore for some spring time fun! 🐰

With lots of rain and storms in the forecast for this morning, I’m going to push back our Story Time to this evening at 6 PM. We’ll be closed this morning as well, and just open the store tonight at 6 and see how long we are there! Shaking things up today. 😁☔️
